Crypto News: The Swadeshi Jagran Manch (SJM), an affiliate of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, on Sunday passed a resolution demanding a complete ban on ‘crypto currency’. The platform has demanded the central government to impose a complete ban on the purchase, sale, investment and any other transaction of this currency so that no one in the country can use it.

The SJM, in its 15th National Assembly, called for expeditious preparation of legislation on digital currency issues by the Reserve Bank of India and the recognition of Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC) as legal tender. The National Assembly of the Manch began on 24 December.

Co-convener of the organization Ashwini Mahajan said, “This resolution was passed in the 15th National Assembly of Swadeshi Jagran Manch which was held in Gwalior.”

MPs Sumalatha Ambareesh and DK Suresh asked, ‘Does the government have any proposal to recognize bitcoin as a currency in the country?’ On this the Finance Minister had said – No sir.
