The British government-owned mint, Royal Mint, has released this 999.9 purity 20 gram gold bar for online sale. Its price has been kept at 1,110.80 pounds. It also shows Lord Ganesha along with a plate full of Modak, his favorite dish.
This bar is similar to the gold bar in the shape of Goddess Lakshmi of 24 carat gold issued by the Royal Mint on the occasion of Diwali last year. Both these rods have been designed by Emma Noble.
The Royal Mint said in a statement, “Lord Ganesha, known as the God of Beginnings and Wisdom, will appear on a gold bar issued by the Royal Mint for the first time.”
This gold bar has been released sometime before Ganesh Chaturthi, a festival dedicated to the worship of Lord Ganesha. These uniquely numbered rods can be purchased online from the Royal Mint website.
The Royal Mint is considered the largest producer of gold and silver coins in Britain. It also offers digital investment options apart from selling gold and silver bars and coins.
