Earlier on Thursday, the BSE Sensex had plunged 1,416.30 points, or 2.61 per cent, to 52,792.23. Nifty also had a major decline of 430.90 points.

In other Asian markets, China’s Shanghai, Hong Kong’s Hang Seng, South Korea’s Kospi and Japan’s Nikkei were up. European markets were also trading in gains during the afternoon session, while the US stock markets closed with a fall on Thursday. Meanwhile, international oil benchmark Brent crude fell 0.11 per cent to $111.9 per barrel.
According to the data received from the stock market, the process of withdrawal of foreign investors from the domestic markets is going on. He sold shares worth Rs 4,899.92 crore on Thursday.
