Currently, Salesforce, a cloud-based services provider, has offices in six cities in India, namely Mumbai, Hyderabad, Bangalore, Pune, Gurugram and Jaipur.
“Priorarily speaking, Salesforce in India will primarily focus on banking, financial services and insurance (BFSI), manufacturing, services and social services sectors,” Bhattacharya told PTI in an interview.
“Right now our workforce is more than 7,500. We estimate our workforce to be around 10,000 by the end of FY 2022-23. Our financial year will end in January 2023.
Salesforce has rapidly increased its workforce in India during the COVID-19 pandemic. The number of employees of the company was 2,500 in April, 2020, which has now increased to 7,500.
Regarding the flexible and hybrid work culture after the pandemic, Bhattacharya said, “We will see more and more employees returning to the office.”
