    New Delhi: Rajesh Gopinathan, the CEO and MD of Tata Consultancy Services, the country’s largest IT company, has resigned. The CEO of TCS, the country’s second largest company in terms of valuation, abruptly resigned before the end of his tenure. In the financial year 2023, the market cap of TCS has crossed $ 168 billion. Under the leadership of Rajesh Gopinathan, TCS grew its revenue and customers base. People were stunned by his sudden resignation. Talking to the media after his resignation, Gopinathan spoke his heart out. Why did he suddenly decide to leave the company after being with the company for 22 years?

    Gopinathan looked emotional It was not an easy decision to leave Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) after working for 22 years and as CEO of the company for six years. He said that these 22 years have been very exciting for me. I have thoroughly enjoyed these 22 years, learned a lot. Leading a company like TCS is a great success in itself. Leaving the company after such a long career has mixed feelings for me. I have mixed feelings in my mind. Rajesh looked a little emotional while talking to the media. The feelings he had in his heart for the company were visible on his face. However, why not, he has had a long association with the company. He said that the experience of the last 48 hours is completely different for me. I don’t know what to do next.

    Resume not made till date after college

    Talking to the media, he said that till date I have not made a resume. After campus, he never made a resume till now. He spoke from the heart about the media. Gopinathan said that whenever I had to talk to the media regarding the company, it was the most difficult task for me, but now I feel much lighter. On the question of leaving TCS, he said that I have some idea in my mind, I am going to work on it in the coming days. He said that leaving TCS is part of my ups and downs.

    5th highest paid IT CEO

    Rajesh Gopinathan was at number five in the list of highest paid CEOs as the head of TCS. His salary in TCS was Rs 25.75 crore. In the year 2021-22, his salary increased by 26.6 percent. Gopinathan’s resignation from TCS is seen as a major setback.
