New Delhi: Petrol-diesel prices saw a rise for the fourth consecutive day on Sunday, October 17. After another increase in the price, the price of oil has reached a new all-time level across the country. Talking about the month of October, the price of fuel was increased almost every day except for a few days. In the national capital Delhi, both petrol and diesel again became costlier by 35-35 paise per liter. According to the Indian Oil Corporation, petrol in Delhi increased to a record level of Rs 105.84 per liter from Rs 105.49 on Saturday. At the same time, diesel rose from Rs 94.22 to Rs 94.57 per liter. Petrol and diesel are the most expensive in Mumbai among the four major metros (Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata and Chennai). Here petrol became costlier by 34 paise and reached Rs 111.77 per liter. Similarly, diesel is being sold by 37 paise to Rs 102.52 per liter.
Petrol and diesel costlier by 35 paise for the fourth consecutive day
This is the fourth consecutive day of increase of 35 paise per liter in the prices of petrol and diesel in Delhi. In this sense, the price of fuel has increased by Rs 1.40 in four days. Earlier, on October 12 and 13, there was no change in the price of oil. This is the 16th time in the last three weeks that petrol prices have increased, while diesel has become costlier 19 times in three weeks. Petrol price is already above Rs 100 per liter in most parts of the country, while diesel is crossing Rs 100 per liter in a dozen states including Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh and Bihar.
