Meaning of caste census
Bihar government had released the caste census report on 2 October. Quoting this, information was given that now the number of people belonging to backward and extremely backward classes in the state is around 63%. It is being said that now preparations are going on to help the people of backward and extremely backward classes with its help. Lok Sabha elections are to be held in the year 2024 and state assembly elections are to be held in 2025. In this sequence, the importance of this population of 63% people of backward and extremely backward class is special. It is being claimed that now the government is preparing to solve these problems in view of the upcoming elections.
Congress will also conduct caste census
The caste census successfully conducted by the Bihar government is now being discussed countrywide. Under this, Congress is preparing to conduct caste census in states like Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh after returning to power. Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashol Gehlot has also made an announcement in this regard.
