The latest case is from Noida, UP, where fraudsters have defrauded American citizens of crores of rupees by luring them with health insurance policies and other methods. This case has been disclosed by the Special Task Force (STF) and while taking action, 24 accused have been arrested. It is reported that the administration has also seized expensive cars from the accused, which include cars like MG Hector, Mercedes and Skoda.
Cheated crores of rupees through online fraud
With the advancement of technology, people have faced many challenges. Cyber thugs are continuously expanding their network and committing fraud and taking away crores of rupees. As per latest information Greater Noida A team of thugs living in Mahagun Maywoods Society looted crores of rupees from American citizens by giving them other incentives to start closed health insurance policies. When the police started investigation in this case, it was found that the accused had used the mobile number registered at the address of Delhi-NCR for the fraud. In this, a person named Ankur Gupta is being said to be the leader of the thugs, who has been arrested by the police. Apart from this, the administration has also arrested 23 other accused by raiding Mahagun Maywood Society.
STF busted the case like this
Noida The Special Task Force had to work hard to catch this gang of big thugs operating in India. According to the information given by Additional SP STF Rajkumar Mishra, a person named Sameer living in America had lodged a complaint in this regard. Sameer had given information in this regard through email that the thugs had defrauded him in the name of health policy. Sameer also alleged that he fell prey to this fraud and transferred around Rs 50 lakh from his Bank of America account.
The administration then went after the gang that carried out the fraud and finally on Saturday arrested the leader of the thugs, Ankur Gupta along with 23 others from Mahagun Maywood Society of Greater Noida. During this time, the police team has recovered expensive cars, foreign currency, mobile phones, laptops and other equipment from the thugs. The administration says that further investigation is going on in the case of cyber fraud and action will be taken against the fraudsters as per requirement.
