    New Delhi: Swiss Ambassador to India Ralf Heckner has said that the Noida Jewar International Airport being developed in collaboration with his country will be a very luxurious and sustainable airport. This international airport at Jewar in Noida, adjacent to Delhi, is being developed by Yamuna International Airport Pvt Ltd (YIAPL), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Switzerland’s Zurich Airport International AG. Heckner told PTI. Said in conversation that Switzerland has a special part in India’s infrastructural development. He said, “The Noida airport being built by Zurich Airport will be very important not only for Uttar Pradesh but also for Delhi. It will be sustainable and India’s most luxurious airport (Jewar Airport).” He said that Zurich Airport is developing another airport in India. Prior to this, it has also developed an airport in Bangalore. The first phase of Noida airport is expected to be completed by September 2024.

    Luxury hotel being built near the airport

    A luxury hotel with 220 rooms is being developed near the International Airport at Jewar near Greater Noida. For this, Roseate Hotels and Resorts have been selected. This company is part of the Bird Group. According to information received from Noida International Airport, the company developing the hotel there has been selected through a competitive bidding process.

    Mall will also be constructed


    In the project update of the airport, it was told that the construction of runway and control room is going on fast. The date to fly from here has been fixed till 30 September 2024. According to reports, the country’s largest Jewar International Airport will have commercial activities on 60 acres. Hotel and mall will also be constructed in 60 acres.
