In the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, UP Governor Anandiben Patel, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and several industrialists, Burcher said, ‘Airport is not just a place to catch flights. Around the world, we have seen that airports accelerate economic growth and employment in the surrounding areas. This airport will open new avenues of development in western UP. This will make this area a hub of manufacturing and commerce. Along with this thousands of people will get employment. Multimodal cargo hub will reduce logistic cost. It will be a world class, modern and digitally enabled airport. The rich heritage of Uttar Pradesh will be seen in this. It will be a wonderful amalgamation of Swiss efficiency and Indian hospitality.
He said that when Noida International Airport opens next year, it will have direct access from Yamuna Expressway. There will be a separate road to the airport so that freight can be easily transported. The airport will have metro and high speed train facilities. This will give a different experience to the passengers. The UP government has started acquiring land around the airport. This will allow it to expand in the future. Noida International Airport is a great example of Public Private Partnership.
