Indore. Various edible oil-oilseeds prices, including mustard, soybean, cottonseed and CPO, improved in the Delhi oil-oilseeds market amid a rally in overseas markets. There was no change in the prices of other oilseeds including groundnut. The Chicago Exchange closed 0.6 percent strong last night and is currently up 0.4 percent. He said that the price of mustard in Saloni Shamsabad was increased from Rs 9,150 to Rs 9,200 a quintal. This improves mustard. The demand for mustard is gradually increasing, which will increase during the festive season and winter, while its supply in the mandis is becoming very less. Unseasonal rains may further delay the next mustard crop, which was expected to arrive in four to four-and-a-half months.
He said that farmers are not selling soybean at a lower price and there is information about some damage to its crop due to unseasonal rains. Due to this, there is improvement in soybean oil and oilseeds. CPO and palmolein also improved due to the general bullish trend and firming up of edible oils prices abroad. Whereas cottonseed prices strengthened due to increase in demand. Groundnut oil and oilseeds prices remained unchanged.
