iPhone 13 Made in India: Recently news was revealed that the production of iPhone 13 in India may start soon. Now it has come to the fore that Taiwan-based giant manufacturing company Hon Hai Precision Industry Co. has spent an additional 350 million US dollars in this direction in India. This money has been spent on a subsidiary, which is said to start manufacturing the Apple iPhone 13 in India. Hon Hai Precision Industry Co. is known as Foxconn in the global market.

This information has come out from a report by the Central News Agency (CNA). The CNA is the national news agency of the Republic of China (ROC) and the most influential news organization in Taiwan. Hon Hai is the world’s largest contract electronics manufacturer. It has become the most important iPhone assembler for Apple. Apple accounts for about 40 percent of Hon Hai’s total sales.

Commercial production expected to start from February 2022
According to the report, Hon Hai is expanding the production capacity at its Chennai-based plant to allocate a new production line exclusively for assembling the iPhone 13s. Earlier it was reported that trial production of iPhone 13s has started in India and commercial production will start from February 2022. It was also revealed that Hon Hai has rolled out iPhone XR, iPhone 11 and iPhone 12 models in Tamil Nadu.

Bharat FIH may be listed in Indian stock exchanges
Meanwhile, there is also news that Hon Hai’s subsidiary FIH Mobile Ltd. It is planning to spin off its unit Bharat FIH in India. It is expected to be completed by 2023. Also, the company is eyeing to get listed on the Indian stock exchanges. Documents were submitted in this direction on Wednesday. Hon Hai holds 63.43 percent stake in Bharat FIH. Bharat FIH is the largest contract electronics manufacturer in India and operates from 3 production sites in South India. The company manufactures a wide range of goods including cell phones, machinery, electric vehicles, televisions, handheld devices and internet connectivity gadgets.
