New Delhi, Aug 7 (PTI) To make grievance redressal more efficient, insurance regulator Irdai will soon launch a new grievance redressal mechanism wherein customers will have the option to register their complaints in regional languages. Sources said the Integrated Grievance Redressal System (IGMS), introduced in 2011, is being upgraded to make it more convenient for the customers. It is to be renamed as ‘Insurance Trust’. Sources said the new portal of the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (Irdai) is a way to register and track complaints online.

Sources said the new portal of the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (Irdai) will be a way to register and track complaints online. It will also oversee the disposal of complaints by insurance companies.
He said that from registration of complaints against various entities, processing of complaints through various stages and final resolution of complaints, all facilities would be available on this portal.
He said that policyholders would be able to lodge complaints against insurance companies in 13 regional languages for redressal of their grievances.
