New Delhi: Inflation was discussed in the Rajya Sabha, the upper house of Parliament, today. During this, Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) member Manoj Jha fiercely targeted the government on the pretext of ‘Nayansukh’. He said that in this era of inflation, the life of the common man has become difficult. The government is not seeing inflation but the common man is suffering from it. He said that Nayansukh is in every part of the country. We should look at inflation and unemployment from Nayansukh’s point of view. Then we will know how narrow our concerns are. The government has imposed GST on everything from the cradle to the grave. If the government has made a mistake, then there should be no problem in taking it back.
Manoj Jha said, ‘I want to tell my point through a story. There is nothing fictional in this story. A man named Nayansukh lives in Delhi with his two children and wife. Nayansukh is a security guard. Guards the house of MPs. There is a salary of 20 thousand rupees but signs on 10 to 12 thousand rupees. That is, he gets salary only 10-12 thousand rupees. Out of this, he pays a rent of Rs. Gives 1200 rupees per cylinder every month. His expenditure on food is Rs 3,000. The school fee is Rs 2,000. This does not include travel expenses. I am not even adding accidental illness. I am not even adding diesel and petrol because he only has a cycle. This Nayansukh is also in Delhi, it is also in Mumbai, it is also in Kolkata and we are also in Patna. Look at inflation and unemployment from Nayansukh’s perspective. Then we will know how narrow our concerns are.’
Nirmala Sitharaman News: Opposition made Raghuram Rajan a weapon, so how did Sitharaman shoot arrows at his statements?
Taking a jibe at the ruling BJP, he said that a huge party was contesting the elections in the country’s largest state. Prices did not rise during that time. It was said then that the market decides the prices. Along with being huge, the heart should also be big. Our effort should be to give relief to the people from inflation. From the cradle to the grave, this government has not left anything on which GST has not been imposed. There should be public concern on the issue of public concern like inflation. If the government has made any mistake, it should be taken back.
Ujjwala Yojana: 4.13 crore beneficiaries have not refilled the cylinder even once, what is the reason?
Jha said that unemployment is at its peak in the country. Children in our Bihar dream of government jobs. This is the reason that the biggest opposition to the Agneepath scheme was seen in Bihar itself. There is no employment anywhere in railways, education and army. Our state was neither given special status nor any special package. Bihar has been kept as a football. We have been made such a state which supplies labels to other states of the country. This is totally unfair to Bihar.
