New Delhi, Aug 5 (PTI) Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal on Friday reviewed the country’s foreign trade scenario with representatives of export promotion councils and industry associations here. Goyal said exporters, Export Promotion Councils (EPCs), government agencies and Indian embassies abroad need to work together to promote exports. He said that along with Gati Shakti, the government is improving connectivity and logistics. The government is also in talks for free trade agreements (FTAs) with important trading partners.
The Minister urged the industry representatives to study FTAs and identify areas with competitive advantage. He also expressed hope for a multi-faceted deal with Britain this year.
