New Delhi: There has been an uproar on the Adani issue from Parliament to the streets. American research firm Hindenburg Research has made several serious allegations against Adani Group. Adani Group has rejected these allegations but this issue is not taking the name of calm. Opposition parties are adamant on the demand of getting the matter investigated by the Joint Committee of Parliament (JPC). Meanwhile, this matter has also reached the Supreme Court. The Supreme Court has agreed to hear a petition in this matter. In this petition, a demand has been made to investigate the allegations leveled against the group led by Gautam Adani by a retired judge of the Supreme Court. The Supreme Court will hear this on Friday.
Advocate Vishal Tiwari had filed a petition in a bench headed by Chief Justice DY Chandrachud for urgent hearing of the matter. He told that the bench has listed it for hearing on February 10. Apart from the Chief Justice, this bench includes Justice PS Narasimha and Justice JB Padriwala. Tiwari has also filed a PIL as well. In this, a demand has been made to form a special committee to monitor the policy of giving loans of more than Rs 500 crore to big companies. Tiwari said that he has requested the bench to hear both together.
