Earlier, Jennifer Wadden Barth, a creative strategist at Google, said that the layoffs affected very talented and high-ranking professionals. Barth, who worked at Google for 15 years, said layoffs make life harder for women, especially those over 40. Google India has recently laid off more than 400 employees. The layoffs at the company were part of massive job cuts that affected 12,000 employees globally. Denying that the layoffs were done at random, Alphabet and Google CEO Sundar Pichai previously said he was deeply sorry for reducing the workforce. Pichai said in an email to employees that he takes full responsibility for the decisions that got us here.
