The world’s biggest rich Elon Musk is going to buy the microblogging site Twitter. But before that there was a stampede in the company. On Thursday, the company fired two of its top executives. Twitter’s head of research, design and engineering, general manager Kevin Becpour, and product head, Bruce Falk, have been fired. The company has also banned new recruitments. Musk has signed a $44 billion deal to buy Twitter, but it is yet to get approval from shareholders and regulators. It is believed that this deal can be completed by the end of this year.
Kevin Becpour tweeted that CEO Parag Agarwal told him he wanted to take the team in a different direction. After that I was asked to resign. Falk wrote ‘unemployed’ in his Twitter bio. A Twitter spokesperson has confirmed that these two executives are leaving the company. But Becpour said he had been fired. He tweeted, ‘The truth is that I did not imagine leaving the company like this and it was not my decision to leave the company.’
Will lift the ban on Trump
Twitter has also confirmed that the company is discontinuing recruitment for all positions except business critical roles. Musk may take over the reins of Twitter by the end of this year. He says that he will lift the ban on former President Donald Trump. Trump’s supporters attacked the US Capitol on January 6, 2021. After this Twitter and other online platforms banned Trump.
