Hyderabad: If you are planning to do any important work related to the bank in the month of October, then definitely read this news of ETV India, because in this month the banks are going to be closed for many days due to festivals.According to the list of bank holidays of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), there will be a holiday in banks for 21 days in this month. However, bank holidays are different in different states. Out of these holidays, 14 days have been declared by RBI. The remaining seven days are weekend holidays, which include Saturday-Sunday.
Let us know in which city the banks will remain closed in these five days.
- October 1 – Half-yearly closing of bank accounts (Gangtok). There is a lot of accounting work in the bank during the half yearly closing, due to which this leave is given after the closing.
- October 2 – All banks across the country will be closed on account of Mahatma Gandhi Jayanti, the Father of the Nation.
- October 3: Due to being a Sunday, all the banks in the country will be closed.
- October 6 – It is Mahalaya Amavasya, due to which banks will remain closed in Agartala, Bangalore and Kolkata.
- October 7 – Banks will remain closed across Haryana on account of Maharaja Agrasen Jayanti. Apart from this, banks will remain closed in Manipur due to Mera Chaoren Houba.
- October 9 – This day is the second Saturday of the month, due to which banks will remain closed.
- 10. October – Due to being a Sunday, all the banks in the country will be closed.
- October 12 – Banks will remain closed in Agartala and Kolkata due to Durga Puja being Mahasaptami.
- October 13 – Due to Durga Puja being Maha Ashtami, banks will remain closed in Bhubaneswar, Agartala, Kolkata, Gangtok, Patna, Guwahati and Ranchi.
- October 14- Banks will remain closed in Agartala, Bhubaneshwar, Kolkata, Gangtok, Kanpur, Lucknow, Guwahati, Lucknow, Srinagar, Thiruvananthapuram, Ranchi and Patna due to Durga Puja being Mahanavami.
- October 15 – Banks across the country will remain closed due to Dussehra, but banks will open in Imphal and Shimla on this day.
- October 16 – Banks will remain closed in Gangtok due to Durga Puja.
- October – Being a Sunday, all the banks in the country will be closed.
- October 18 – Due to Kati Bihu, the banks of Guwahati will remain closed.
- October 19 – Banks will remain closed on account of Eid-e-Milad (the birthday of Prophet Mohammad). Banks in Ahmedabad, Belapur, Bhopal, Chennai, Dehradun, Hyderabad, Imphal, Jammu, Kanpur, Kochi, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur, Delhi, Raipur, Ranchi, Srinagar and Thiruvananthapuram will remain closed on this day.
- October 20 – Banks in Agartala, Bengaluru, Chandigarh, Kolkata and Shimla will remain closed on account of Maharishi Valmiki Jayanti.
- October 22 – Banks will remain closed in Jammu and Srinagar as it is the first Juma (Friday) after Eid-e-Milad-ul-Nabi.
- 23 October – This day is the fourth Saturday of the month, due to which the banks will remain closed.
- October 24 – Being a Sunday, all the banks in the country will be closed.
- 26 October – Banks will remain closed in Jammu-Srinagar on account of accession day.
- October 31 – Being a Sunday, all the banks in the country will be closed.
