Asian Games 2023 : India’s strong performance continues in the Asian Games. On the 12th day, the Indian hockey team won the gold medal by defeating Japan in the final. India defeated Japan 5-1 in the final match and won the gold medal. This is India’s 22nd gold in the Asian Games. Along with winning the gold medal, India has also secured its ticket for the Olympics.
Harmanpreet Singh scored two goals for the Indian team in the final match. The first goal for India was scored by Indian captain Manpreet Singh on 25 minutes, score 1-0. The second goal was scored by Harmanpreet Singh at 32 minutes. On 36 minutes, Amit Rohitdas scored a goal and made the team score 3-0. Japan has not been successful in scoring a single goal yet. Then Abhishek scored a goal at 48 minutes to make the score 4-0. Japan got the breakthrough on 52 minutes, Tanaka scored a goal for Japan. The last goal for India was scored by Harmanpreet Singh at 59 minutes. India won the gold medal with a score of 5-1.
India close to century of medals
This is India’s best performance in the Asian Games 2023. Along with gold in hockey, India has come closer to a century in medals. India so far has 95 medals in the Asian Games 2023, which includes 22 gold, 34 silver, 39 bronze medals. India will soon cross 100 in the medal table with this brilliant performance.
