Weather Update: The weather has changed in many states of the country. There has been a continuous decline in temperature since last one week. Besides, snowfall has also started in the mountainous areas. There is continuous snowfall in Muzaffarabad, Leh Ladakh, Gilgit-Baltistan, Uttarakhand, Himachal, while light rain in the lower areas has seen a change in the weather and the cold has increased.
This change in weather is being seen due to cyclonic storm. IMD (India Meteorological Department) has also issued an alert regarding rain in many states due to the cyclonic storm.
Rain alert in many states
According to IMD, there are chances of rain in many states of the country for the next four days. During this period, warnings of thunderstorm and lightning have also been issued. According to the Meteorological Department, rainy season will be seen mainly in Central and South India. The department has predicted moderate to heavy rain for the next 5 days in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Kerala.
A red alert was issued for extremely heavy rains for two days in Karnataka and Interior Karnataka. Similarly, during the next 24 hours, moderate to heavy rain may also be seen in Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Manipur, Tripura, Arunachal Pradesh, West Bengal and Odisha.
Effect of fog will be visible along with cold
At the same time, the weather is likely to remain dry in other parts of the country. Whereas, the effect of cold is visible in entire North India including the capital Delhi. According to the Meteorological Department, fog is going to increase in Delhi and Lucknow for the next five days.
Similarly, the weather will remain dry in Punjab-Haryana including Rajasthan and Gujarat at present. With the activation of western disturbance, significant changes can be seen in the weather of Rajasthan. At present, the weather is expected to remain like this for 3 days.
