The administration is making every effort to get all the workers out of the tunnel safely and there is no threat to anyone’s life.
Giving information about the matter, officials said that it may take another day or two to evacuate the workers. Officials say, it is expected that 40 people trapped inside will be rescued by tomorrow night. He further informed that all the workers trapped in the tunnel for more than 36 hours are safe and contact has been established with them.

On Uttarkashi tunnel accident, SP said that the rescue operation is going on, all the agencies and technical experts have reached here. Out of 60 meters of debris, more than 20 meters of debris has been removed. We hope that 40 people trapped inside will be rescued by tomorrow night. They are being provided all basic facilities including oxygen, food and water through pipes. Along with this, the family members of the stranded people have also been contacted.
