UP News: The negligence in laying the water line in Mahoba, Bundelkhand, Uttar Pradesh proved costly for the officers and people of the organization. Namami Gange and Rural Water Supply Department has imposed a fine of about Rs 10 lakh on the company which is working on laying water line in Mahoba under Jal Jeevan Mission.
Delay in laying water line in village
Let us tell you that the work of laying water lines in two villages of the district was given to the company, but the delay in laying the water lines has largely fallen on the district’s SDM Namami Gange and the executive engineer of the Jal Nigam. Taking action against both the officers, they have been summoned.
According to the information received, the Principal Secretary of Namami Gange and Rural Water Supply Department has sought a report from all the officers of the department on this entire matter. Let us tell you that the target of Har Ghar Jal Yojana is being achieved rapidly in Mahoba district of Bundelkhand. Here, more than 97.50 percent work has been done to provide tap water to the villagers.
Mahoba is the district with the highest number of tap connections.
Mahoba district of the state has become the district which has got the maximum number of tap connections and is ranked first in the entire Uttar Pradesh. Meanwhile, during the review last week, complaints were received about the absence of water lines in Alipur and Sukhora villages of Kabrai development block of Mahoba. Taking immediate action on the entire matter, Namami Gange and Rural Water Supply Department has sought reports from Alipur and Sukhora villages.
The report revealed that the company doing water line work is delaying its work. Taking action on this, State Drinking Water and Sanitation Mission Executive Director Brijraj has imposed a fine of about Rs 10 lakh on the company and has directed to lay a water line in the village within the next 7 days.
