Tata Motors has increased its Safari Automatic price by up to Rs 7,000. This SUV comes with 9 automatic variants. This includes XMA, XTA+, XZA, XZA+ 6-seater, XZA+, XZA+ 6-seater Adventure Edition, XZA+ Adventure Edition, XZA+ Gold 6-seater and XZA+ Gold variants. The XMA and XZA variants have become costlier by up to Rs 3,000. The price of the remaining automatic variants has increased by Rs 2,000.
Engine and gearbox
Talking about the engine and gearbox of this car, the car has been given a 2.0 liter Cryotec turbo diesel engine, which is also used in the Harrier. This engine generates 170hp power. Apart from this, six speed manual and six speed torque converter automatic gearbox have been given in the car. This car comes with 4 wheel drive system.
This car competes with other popular SUVs and MPVs including Mahindra XUV700, MG Hector Plus, Hyundai Alcazar and Maruti XL6.
The new Tata Safari has been introduced in India in a price range of Rs 14.99 lakh to Rs 23.17 lakh (ex-showroom). This SUV with 6 and 7 seater options is powered by a diesel engine up to 1956 cc, which can generate power up to 167.62 Bhp. Tata Safari is available in both manual and automatic transmission options. Offered in 6 color options, the mileage of Tata Safari is up to 16.14 kmpl according to the company’s claim.
