The exact launch date of the Hyundai Xtor is yet to be revealed. According to media reports, this micro SUV can enter the Indian market in July 2023. The price of this small SUV can be revealed in August before the festival season.

Talking about the price, the starting ex-showroom price of Hyundai Exter is expected to be around Rs 6 lakh to Rs 10 lakh. Coming between the Grand i10 Nios and the Venue, the Exter will compete directly with the Tata Punch and Maruti Suzuki Fronx apart from the Nissan Magnite and Renault Kiger.
Hyundai Exter Engine Power
The entry-level variant of the Exter Micro SUV will be powered by the 1.2-litre 4-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine that powers the Grand i10 Nios, Venue and Aura. This engine will generate 83bhp power and 114Nm torque. Talking about the transmission, it will get the option of 5-speed manual and AMT. It is also likely to get a factory-fitted CNG option.
A 1.0L T-GDi turbo petrol engine can also be given in this car which generates power of 120PS and torque of 175Nm. This engine was earlier given in the Grand i10 Nios Turbo, where it generates 100bhp power and 172Nm torque. This lower-spec model could be offered with the Exter. This powertrain could be offered with manual and dual-clutch transmission. Hyundai may also bring a fully electric version of the Exter to the country.
Hyundai Exterior Design
Hyundai has released an official teaser of the Exter, which has not revealed the styling. Its exterior design has been given in the teaser. The Exeter is likely to share styling cues with larger SUVs including the Venue, Creta and Santa Fe. It is expected to be around 3.8 meters in length, which is more than Casper’s length of 3.6 meters.
The Exeter has been spotted testing overseas several times. The heavily camouflaged prototype reveals a boxy silhouette and a larger tailgate than the Casper. However, it is quite similar to the Korean cars in terms of design and advanced features. The small SUV will come with Hyundai’s signature parametric jewel type grille. It gets H-shaped daytime running lights with slim high-beam headlamps, which seem to be based on the new Santa Fe. The main low beam and high beam headlights are on the bumper. At the rear, the small SUV gets LED tail-lamps in the wide tailgate. It will be equipped with newly styled 15-inch alloy wheels.
Hyundai Exterior Interior And Features
On the inside, the new small SUV Hyundai Xtor shares the cabin layout and features with the Grand i10 Nios and the Venue SUV. It gets a new semi-digital instrument console and a layered dashboard with a new 8-inch touchscreen infotainment screen. The infotainment unit will support Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. It can support the company’s BlueLink connected car technology. Previous spy photos have revealed that the small SUV will come with a single-pane electric sunroof. Other features will include a multi-functional steering wheel, automatic AC, reverse parking camera, 6 airbags, EBD and ABS.
