Disappointment with Kia Carnes!
Global NCAP has said in this matter that this is because the footwell and platform area of Kia Carnes is very unstable. Apart from this, the body shell of this vehicle has not been found capable of taking much load. While it has good head and neck protection for test dummies, the driver’s chest protection and knee protection have been found to be average. Talking about child protection, this Kia car has got 30.99 points out of 49. Although the cars were correctly marked with the ISOFIX mounting and child restraint system, the forward facing seats have a three-year protection limit for dummies. At the same time, a 1.5 year old dummy has been found to be good in protection in this case.
