Also urged the leaders to work on green credit initiative. He said that our proposal is to take a global initiative to take ethanol blending in petrol to 20 per cent.

The founding members of the Global Biofuel Alliance are India, America and Brazil. At the same time, many countries including Italy, Canada, United Arab Emirates, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and South Africa have joined it. This alliance will work together with seven international organizations. This alliance will further strengthen India’s economic position.
What is biofuel and its benefits
Biofuel means fuel made from husk, food waste, algae, trees, plants and grains and energy obtained from it. Biofuel is extracted from many types of biomass, so it has a low carbon content. If its use increases in the world, then there will be some relief from the increasing climate threat to the world. Also, dependence on traditional fuels petrol and diesel will reduce.
