Namo Shetkari Maha Samman Nidhi Yojana
Under the Namo Shetkari Maha Samman Nidhi Scheme of the Government of Maharashtra, financial assistance is provided to the farmers of Maharashtra. Under this, farmers will get Rs 6000 annually. It is worth noting that this amount is in addition to the PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi being provided by the Central Government. If we understand in simple words, now the farmers of Maharashtra will get a total of Rs 12000 in a year from the Maharashtra and Central Government. Under this scheme, the first installment can be sent to the accounts of farmers soon.
The plan was in the financial year 2023-24
This scheme was announced for the farmers by the Maharashtra government in the financial year 2023-24 itself. However, it was in limbo due to non-approval of funds in this regard. Now the government has given a big gift to the farmers in this sequence and has approved the funds. For this, the government has approved a budget of Rs 1720 crore. Funds will be deposited into farmers’ accounts
According to the information given by the Maharashtra Government, the amount received under Namo Shetkari Mahasamman Yojana will be deposited directly into the accounts of the farmers. At the same time, this information has also been given that this amount will be given apart from the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Scheme being provided by the Central Government. In such a situation, farmers of Maharashtra will now be able to get financial assistance of Rs 12000.
