He lived in Mumbai with his family. Coming to Gorakhpur from October 2020, started living. The family members told the police that Ahmed Murtaza Abbasi had left the house only on Saturday. He didn’t talk to anyone in the house. He rarely came out of his room. The house and room of Ahmed Murtaza Abbasi have also been searched. It is being told that the father of the accused, MA Abbasi, has also been an engineer in a company. After retirement he started living in Gorakhpur. The father returned home from Mumbai on Saturday itself, after that the father tried to contact the son, but could not talk.
At present, raids are going on in the adjoining districts of Gorakhpur. In this, 2 people have been detained from Kushinagar (2 people), 1 from Sant Kabirnagar, 2 people from Maharajganj. It is alleged that Murtaza used to talk to these people through chat box. Why did Murtaza reach the Gorakhnath temple there? Where did he get that weapon from? Also, with whom did he talk before the incident? There are many such questions, keeping in the center of the investigation, the police is investigating the matter.
Mortaza’s Nepal-Mumbai connection checking ATS
Security agencies have got many shocking evidence from Murtaza, who attacked the PAC jawans deployed in the security of Gorakhnath temple. Sources claim that the Arabic language religious book found from the bag of the accused contained a map of the Gorakhnath temple. Along with this, many videos of radical Zakir Naik have been found from his laptop. Murtaza used to chat with many suspicious people from Mumbai and Nepal. A team of UP ATS has come to Mumbai to investigate his Nepal-Mumbai connection.
Murtaza on seven-day remand
On Monday, a joint team of ATS and STF also went to Maharajganj and Siddharthnagar districts. Bansi is also interrogating two youths by taking them into custody. Both the detained youths had taken Murtaza to the Gorakhnath temple on a bike on Sunday evening. On the other hand, accused Murtaza was sent to jail for 14 days in judicial custody. However, the police have taken him on remand for 7 days. His medical has been done. Soon the police can take him to the spot.
