Last year, about five lakh students of classes X and XII were issued tablets by the Haryana government. The Directorate of Education has issued a letter to all the district education officers of the state. The directorate had issued a letter in February directing them to submit the tabs before the commencement of the examinations, but due to the demand of the students and parents, the letter was withdrawn at that time and the students were allowed to keep the tabs till the examinations. Presently the board exams are going on.
What did the directorate say in the letter?
The Directorate has issued a fresh letter. It has been said in the letter that the students of Class X and Class II will have to submit their tab to the school within five days after the completion of the examinations. The SIM will be blocked within five days after the completion of the examinations. The students of class X who will not change the school and continue their studies in the same school will have to give a written letter to the school management about this.
It is mandatory to submit the tab by 10th April
Based on the acceptance received on this letter, the students in class 11th will be entitled to keep the tablet with them. No such condition has been kept for the students of class 12 who were given tabs as they have to go to colleges for the next class. The school management committee will ensure that tab, sim and charger are deposited by each student. Those students who do not submit the tab, their result will not be issued. Not only this, the result of these students will also not be uploaded on DG Locker. According to the directorate, it is mandatory for class X students to submit the tab by March 27 and for class XII students by April 10.

Action will be taken even if the result is released by mistake
The Directorate of Education has made it clear that if a student does not submit the tab and his/her result is issued by mistake, then it will be the responsibility of the school management not to issue SLC, DMC and character certificates to such students. School managers have been instructed to enter the details of the students who have deposited the tab in the register with immediate effect. Information about the students who do not submit the tab should be uploaded on the Avasar portal.
