Another vice-president of the party’s state unit, Jagmal Wala, will contest from Somnath seat while two other vice-presidents Arjun Rathwa and Sagar Rabri have been fielded from Chhotaudepur (SU) and Becharaji seats, respectively, he said.
Italia said that AAP will release the second list of candidates soon.
“The names of the candidates have been announced so early so that they can get time to interact with the people of their respective constituencies. In the first list, we have included candidates from OBC, SC and ST communities.
According to the list, Dalit leader and former Congress leader from Rajkot Vashram Sagathia has been fielded from Rajkot-Surat rural seat. In the state, AAP’s secretary Ram Dhaduk has been made a candidate from Kamaraj seat in Surat city.
AAP has indicated that it will likely contest all 182 assembly seats in Gujarat.
